Metro Fashion Studios Fashion Tips For AW15/16

Its AW 2015/16 and fashion as we know it comes round in circles. The entire point of being an aspiring model is to follow the latest trends and put your own spin on them with an injection of your own personality in there. You could be scouted not only because you have a unique facial structure but also because your overall image is put together and presented in a unique way. Take Cara Delevingne as a prime example; yes she does have an impeccable bone structure but she also has fantastic personal style. The tomboy look that she goes for is individual and fashion forward at the same time. The way in which she pairs skinny jeans up with an impeccably tailored blazer, a band T-shirt and pair of high top trainers is interesting and visually appealing at the same time. If you want to make it in the cutthroat industry as a model, it is important that you continue to reinvent yourself by changing your hairstyle and make-up to compliment your features frequently. It is also essential that you keep your wardrobe up to date and you can do this by keeping track of the latest fashion blogs and reading high fashion magazines such as Vogue and Harpers Bazaar. You can also find the latest style and beauty tips from Metro Fashion Studios Pinterest, facebook, Tumblr and Twitter.

Metro Fashion Studios are here to give you hair, beauty and fashion tips so you can be confident in knowing that you are fully kitted out for 2013/14 and stay ahead of the personal style game.

Shoes

Metro Fashion Studios loves the range of shoe styles currently trending at the moment, the best thing to focus on as an aspiring model when choosing the right shoes for you is for you to pick the styles that you feel most comfortable with – the ones that reflect your own personal style. The Pointed shoe is very much trending at the moment with a little heel or with a big heel, if you team these shoes with a pair of cropped printed trousers then you immediately look fashion forward and chic. If you tie together an outfit such as this with a simple t-shirt and kimono style light jacket and an oversized coat on top of that, you look complete.

Metro Fashion Studios thinks that fashion is about betraying some of your comfort zones in order to create your own image- remember, you’re not just a pretty face if you’re an aspiring model, you’re potentially a brand too. Knee high boots are very popular at the moment. Whether you wear them with a short skirt to mirror the 60’s fashion revival that will be making it way on the scene this Spring Summer 2014, or with a pair of skinny jeans tucked into them – make sure you do it right as this look could potentially look tacky.

The high-heel has never been as much as a staple in the industry as seen on the catwalks of Fashion Week 2013. There are so many styles of heels available to us now and the more intricate the better. From perspex see-through heels to wooden carved heels, it’s about making the most of what’s available to you and Metro Fashion Studios thinks that now is as good a time as any to start practising your walk in heels for that catwalk.

If you don’t like high heels, then the flat brogue is definitely for you. They come in many colours, some displaying a mix of pattern and leather some in the traditional black and white. Either way, there is something there for everyone and if you put on a pair of flat brogues with a skinny jeans and an oversized woolly jumper, or with a short skirt, fitted cashmere jumper and white woolly tights, you instantly will look unique and current at the same time.

Coats

The statement coat is something that Metro Fashion Studios would recommend as a priority clothing purchase. The way we see it is that a coat that is made well and chosen correctly, should last you a good number of years. Currently trending on the catwalk are faux fur coats, tweed, oversized coats and leather. They come in a range of colours. If you feel like going for a leather coat, you can’t go wrong with patent leather for a glamorous spin on your everyday look. If you feel like an extravagant colour, cobalt blue, blood orange or dusty pink would be the choice colour on the catwalk. Alternatively, you could go all out with a leopard print oversized coat and put it together with a black cashmere turtleneck and a pair of wet look skinny jeans, completed with a pair of black pointed heeled boots for a dramatic everyday look that will definitely get you noticed.

Bottom Half

To have a fashion forward bottom half, why not go for statement trousers? River Island has a really good range of statement trousers in a variety of prints and textures. Metro Fashion Studios loves the fact that High-Waisted trousers or jeans are still very much in the midst of this and next seasons must haves, they are also more flattering for ladies with curves. If you pair a pair of statement trousers with a shirt tucked in, oversized coat on your shoulders and a pair of 3 inch pointed heals, you’ll look as though you have just rolled off the catwalk.

If the statement trouser is not for you, then go for a midi skirt, which is one of the hottest current trends.  A head to toe print is something that may seem extreme but looks wonderfully luxurious if done well, so perhaps consider it. One could do this with a skirt and a shirt or with trousers/jeans and a shirt

Black is…Well, the new black! It’s so great that the little black dress, which has also morphed into the black trouser suit or the black jumpsuit, is a trend that Metro Fashion Studios admires. You can still stand out wearing black for Spring Summer 2014, if you want to wear a black maxi dress with an oversized bright coloured coat and a pair of ankle boots, it would look absolutely chic for the season.

Accessories

Metro Fashion Studios thinks that accessories complete any outfit, whether it’s a statement ring or belt to create a homemade peplum effect, accessories will always be on the list of fashion priorities. The latest trends when it comes down to accessories are oversized bangles that have grace many a catwalk for fashion week. The statement ring as mentioned previously is also an accessory that you shouldn’t be without this season. The hat has made it’s way back into the fashion hall of fame, so don’t be afraid to wear a hat winter, spring or summer as they are a new must-have accessory for this year and next.

The luxury hide bag should also be a staple in your wardrobe. They come in many shapes and sizes and Metro Fashion Studios favourite- the come in many different colours! If the all black look is something that you want to explore, then a pop of colour in the form of a luxurious leather bag is something that could take an outfit to the next level.

Don’t be frightened of the headband as seen on the catwalk by Valentino and Louis Vuitton the silk head band is a currently trending accessory. Metro Fashion Studios also thinks that the use of metals worn as hair accessories is also one of our favourite trends so far. It makes you look different without looking like you’ve tried so hard.
